Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet) reported that the weather conditions for this afternoon will be influenced by a trough in the middle levels of the atmosphere, which, together with the east wind, will cause moderate rains in various regions of the country.

According to predictor Heriberto Fabián, this combination of phenomena will be generating cloud fields that will leave occasional showers in provinces of the northwest, southeast, the Central mountain range and some border areas. Rainfall is also expected in some municipalities of Greater Santo Domingo.

These rains will persist until the early hours of the night, so the population is advised to take the necessary precautionary measures, especially in areas vulnerable to urban flooding.

Regarding temperatures, they will remain hot due to the time of year and the same easterly wind affecting the country.

Regarding maritime conditions, no alerts have been issued; however, it is recommended that vessel operators consult with local authorities before undertaking any offshore activities.
