BARAHONA. – This morning, January 1, 2026, a tragic traffic accident occurred in Quitacorasa, a municipal district belonging to the municipality of Vicente Noble, province of Barahona.

The incident occurred after a collision between a Nissan Sentra and a Honda Fit, while both were traveling on the aforementioned road. According to preliminary reports, Dominga was traveling from Santo Domingo towards Neyba at the time of the accident. As a result of the crash, one deceased person, identified as Dominga, was confirmed. In addition, another person was injured and was immediately transferred to a health center in the city of Azua to receive medical attention. The competent authorities are conducting the corresponding investigations to determine the causes of the accident and clarify the circumstances in which the event occurred.
