“Almost two months have passed, and not a single call, not a single message. It’s as if he meant nothing to them, when he was always there to serve them,” Quezada expressed, visibly affected.
Bartolo, 55, was discharged from the hospital this Tuesday after spending 56 days at the Salvador B. Gautier Hospital. He was one of the most seriously injured in the tragedy that occurred on April 8th, when the roof of the well-known entertainment center collapsed. The patient was admitted with a diagnosis of polytrauma, closed abdominal thoracic trauma, unstable chest, and moderate traumatic brain injury.During his treatment, Bartolo underwent highly complex medical procedures, including thrombolysis, aimed at dissolving blood clots that were compromising his circulation. He also underwent surgeries for the thoracoabdominal trauma, being managed in special care for a polyvalent clinical condition.
On the other hand, the young Jennifer Taveras, 24 years old, also affected by the collapse, remains admitted to the same hospital. She remains in a room in the plastic surgery ward, awaiting a procedure, and is in stable general condition under medical observation.
The victims’ families insist that those responsible for the nightclub assume their moral and legal commitment to the physical and emotional consequences that this tragedy has left.
