Woman reports assault by her ex-partner in Monseñor Nouel

BONAO, Monseñor Nouel. – The young Darlin Esther Pichardo, 30 years old, reported the alleged aggression by her former partner, in an incident that occurred in the Los Cocos sector, of the municipal district Jayaco La Ceiba, of the province Monseñor Nouel. According to the medical report, Pichardo, who is visually impaired, was admitted to a health center after presenting multiple stab wounds and blunt force trauma in different parts of the body. The victim reported that her attacker violently attacked her and then left her abandoned at the scene, fleeing the scene.

The woman, still recovering, requested the intervention of the authorities to achieve the arrest of her ex-partner, who remains at large. “He beat me mercilessly and then left me lying there,” expressed the victim. The National Police reported that it is actively searching for the alleged aggressor and that the case is being investigated under the coordination of the Public Ministry. The authorities reminded citizens of the importance of reporting any act of domestic violence, especially when the victims are disabled.
