Olivia Dean releases her new album “The Art of Loving”
Santo Domingo. – BRIT Awards and Mercury Prize nominee Olivia Dean released her highly anticipated second album The Art of Loving, which includes the first single ‘So Easy (To Fall In Love)’, via Capitol Records.
Before an audience that awaited her with impatience, Olivia Dean presents her highly anticipated second album The Art Of Loving, produced with Zach Nahome; an album that shines in the reflective exploration of love, in its many forms. Naturally blending warmth and sincerity throughout her moving descriptions of romantic and platonic love, Olivia elegantly showcases her refined and masterful musical talent through her compositions, always resonant.
With an undeniable aura of nostalgia and timelessness, each theme offers an individual look at the complex layers of love. The single ‘So Easy (To Fall In Love)’; accompanied by a video, shines with cheerful rhythms and hopeful lyrics, setting a powerful tone for the album. The song offers a fresh perspective on dating and encourages the listener to remember their own worth and richness. As we move through the album, reaching the songs ‘Let Alone The One The Love’, ‘Loud’ and ‘Close Up’ we are exposed to a refreshing vulnerability, expressed through a musical composition that will undoubtedly stand the test of time.
Olivia’s characteristic sound intertwines throughout The Art Of Loving, especially in ‘A Couple Minutes’ and the previously released ‘Lady Lady’, as well as in the hit singles ‘Nice To Each Other’ and ‘Man I Need’. Speaking about the album, Olivia points out: “I don’t think it’s cynical to say, but I don’t think love is just magic that happens to you, I think you have to dedicate time to it, it’s an art, it’s like playing an instrument or another skill… I’m a romantic, hopelessly hopeless. And I guess I’m trying to give back a little love and affection to your life.”
Her debut album Messy received widespread critical acclaim upon its release and solidified her status as one of the most captivating voices in neo-soul and pop. More recently, Olivia became the first British woman to have 3 singles in the UK top 10 since Adele. Her latest track ‘Man I Need’ quickly became the highest-charting song by a UK artist on Spotify’s global chart this year, as well as reaching #37 (to date) on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Earlier this month, she announced her biggest headline tour in the UK and the European Union to date, which will begin in April 2026, including 4 sold-out nights at The O2 London.
Earlier this year, Olivia was a guest of Sam Fender on his headline UK tour dates, as well as appearing at London Stadium to perform their collaboration on Sam’s song ‘Seventeen Going Under’. She recently performed with Sabrina Carpenter at her BST Hyde Park show on July 6th and will be joining her again on a series of US dates in October and November, including five sold-out nights at Madison Square Garden.
