3 men found murdered in front of church in Puerto Rico, sixth massacre of the year

Three men were killed this Tuesday in front of a church in Carolina, in the north of Puerto Rico, where in the last 12 hours a total of seven violent deaths have been recorded.

The sixth multiple murder that has occurred on the island so far this year took place in front of the New Harvest church, where the Police found the naked bodies of three men on the pavement. The victims presented apparent gunshot wounds in different parts of the body, according to the police statement, which is investigating the events. The latest massacre on the island occurred at the beginning of last August, when three men were shot dead and three people were injured during a shooting at a public housing complex in San Juan. In addition to the multiple murder of Carolina, a 16-year-old minor died and a 17-year-old was seriously injured in a shooting that occurred in the parking lot of the Christian Church Circulo de Oración, in Ponce, in the south of the island.

In San Juan, three other murders were recorded. The bodies of two men were found naked and beaten in the Santurce neighborhood, while a third man died from stab wounds received in a medical center in Barrio Obrero. According to the latest weekly police report, published last Sunday, 337 murders had been reported in 2025 on the island, which has a population of just 3.2 million inhabitants.
