The President of the United States, Donald Trump, ordered a total blockade of sanctioned oil tankers entering and leaving Venezuela.
“Venezuela is completely surrounded by the largest Navy ever assembled in the history of South America. This will only grow, and the shock for them will be like they have never seen before, until they return to the United States all the oil, lands and other assets they previously stole from us”, Trump posted on social media.

In that line, he detailed: “Maduro’s illegitimate regime is using the oil from these stolen deposits to finance itself, narcoterrorism, human trafficking, murder, and kidnapping. Because of the theft of our assets, and for many other reasons, including terrorism, drug trafficking, and human trafficking,
the Venezuelan regime has been designated as a foreign terrorist organization.”
“Therefore, today I order a total and complete blockade of all sanctioned oil tankers entering and leaving Venezuela. The illegal and criminal immigrants that the Maduro regime has sent to the United States during the weak and inept Biden administration are being returned to Venezuela at an accelerated rate,” reported the US president.
Meanwhile, he concluded: “The United States will not allow criminals, terrorists, or other countries to steal, threaten, or harm our nation, nor will it allow a hostile regime to seize our oil, land, or any other assets, all of which must be returned to the United States IMMEDIATELY. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”
Last week, Trump announced that his country
intercepted and seized an oil tanker off the Venezuelan coast, raising tensions between Washington and Caracas, which have been ongoing since August due to the US air and naval deployment in the Caribbean.

Skipper, which was sailing under a false flag of Guyana, was seized by order of a US judge due to its previous links to the smuggling of Iranian oil, sanctioned by Washington, although on this occasion it was transporting Venezuelan crude.
Iran, one of Venezuela’s main allies, has repeatedly denounced Washington’s “intimidatory”, “interventionist” and “dangerous” attitude towards Caracas in recent months.
Last Wednesday, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian held a telephone conversation with his Venezuelan counterpart, Nicolás Maduro, to whom he reiterated his support in the face of the “hostile provocations” of the United States.
