Joe Biden will undergo radiotherapy in a «s subsequent phase» of his cancer treatment, according to the portal
NBC reported this Saturday.
A spokesperson for the former president informed the network that radiotherapy will be part of a “care plan” against the aggressive prostate cancer, with bone metastasis, whose diagnosis was made public last May.
The radiation treatment will last five weeks and will be combined with hormone therapy, the spokesman detailed.
In early September, it was revealed that Biden, 82, recently underwent surgery to remove cancerous skin cells.
Joe Biden’s Health, Also a Political Matter
Biden left the White House last January as the oldest U.S. president in office. During his term, there were questions about his fitness to continue in the position due to his age and health.
The Democratic former president dropped out of the race for reelection in mid-2024 to instead support the candidacy of his vice president, Kamala Harris, who was defeated at the polls by Donald Trump.

At the beginning of 2024, Biden’s personal physician declared him fit to continue in the position after a physical examination.
In February 2023, Biden had a cancerous lesion removed from his chest in a successful operation, after which the then-White House physician assured that no further treatment was required.
