SANTO DOMINGO.– The Águilas Cibaeñas continued their overwhelming pace in the 2025-26 LIDOM season by defeating the Tigres del Licey 4-2 this Wednesday, in a duel held at the Quisqueya Juan Marichal Stadium. The decisive hit was a run-scoring single by Jerar Encarnación, which broke a tie in the third inning.

With the victory, the young eagles raised their impressive record to 24-8, reduced their magic number to eight to qualify for the Round Robin, and secured their sixth win of the particular series against the Tigers (6-3). The Blues, meanwhile, fell to 14-19, tied with the Leones del Escogido in fourth place in the tournament.
