Framber Valdez will be part of the
Detroit Tigers delegation that will arrive this Monday in Santo Domingo to play two exhibition games against the Dominican Republic national team that is preparing for the
2026 World Baseball Classic, although he will not see action from the mound.

The American team will arrive in the country with a delegation of 35 players to face the local team in a series of friendlies scheduled at the
Quisqueya Juan Marichal Stadium, matches that will serve as part of the Dominican team’s preparation before the international tournament.
Valdez, who recently signed a three-year contract with Detroit, will be present during the trip, but the team decided not to use him in the exhibition series.

Thayron Liranzo are on the team roster and will participate in the games against the national team.
