LA VEGA. – With a movie-worthy ending, a goal by
Yohan Parra in the 89th minute gave the 1-2 victory to
MOCA FC over Atlético Vega Real, in the third matchday of the
Dominican Republic Football League (LDF).

The home team opened the scoring in the 14th minute with a powerful shot from
Steven Martínez, making the vegans celebrate. But the aurinegro response was not long in coming: at 22’,
Gustavo Ascona connected a header after an assist from
Valentín Sabella, sealing the 1-1 draw with which the first half ended.
In the second half, MOCA FC insisted with clear arrivals, but the Vegan goalkeeper stopped dangerous shots from
Jhonny Parima (56’) and
Juan Ángeles (70’).
When it seemed that everything would end in a tie, the decisive play arrived: in a corner kick, the ball was alive in the area and Yohan Parra sent it to the back of the net, unleashing madness among players, coaching staff and the Moca fans at the Cóndor de La Vega.
