Cleveland — In an emotional day held this Sunday at Progressive Field, the baseball family experienced one of the most special moments of the season. The daughter of the Dominican star José Ramírez, Isabella, was in charge of throwing the ceremonial first pitch during the “Family Day” organized by the Cleveland Guardians.
With a City Connect jersey from her father and holding the hand of the third baseman, Isabella walked to the mound and made the ceremonial first pitch of the game against the Athletics, while her father stood behind the plate with a smile that reflected pride and emotion. The gesture was applauded by the fans present and captured by cameras and social media of the team
Prior to the game, the Guardians players and coaches were also accompanied by their children on the field during the singing of the national anthem.
