Cleveland. — Shohei Ohtani continues to solidify his dominance in Major League Baseball. The Japanese star hit his 20th home run of the season this Tuesday —the most in MLB so far— and led the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 9-5 victory over the Cleveland Guardians.

Ohtani punished a cutter from Tanner Bibee in the fourth inning, sending the ball to the left field stands to put the score at 4-0 in favor of the Dodgers. It was the third consecutive game in which Ohtani hit at least one home run, a feat he has achieved ten times since his debut in 2018.
On the mound, Dustin May (3-4) signed his best outing of the year by striking out nine batters and allowing three runs in five innings to take his second consecutive victory.
For the Guardians, Daniel Schneemann hit a three-run home run in the fourth inning. Dominican José Ramírez extended his hitting streak to 20 games —the longest currently in Major League Baseball— by hitting a single.
With this victory, the Dodgers maintain their good offensive momentum, while Ohtani continues to elevate his MVP candidacy with another historic achievement to his name.
