Doglocy Classic 2025 will distribute more than $5,000 in prizes at the Las Américas Racetrack

Santo Domingo. – High-level cycling returns with force this Corpus Christi Thursday in the second edition of the Doglocy Classic, which will be held starting at 10:00 a.m. at the Autódromo Internacional de Las Américas, with an attractive prize pool of $5,500 in cash prizes, which positions the event as one of the most lucrative in competitive cycling in the country.

The race, which will span 120 kilometers (40 laps) on the racetrack, will feature the participation of 184 cyclists over 19 years of age, who will compete without an entry fee. The event will bring together national and international teams, including the outstanding presence of Team Medellín and its leader, the Colombian-Spanish Óscar Sevilla. The grand cash prize will be distributed among the top five overall finishers: in 1st place: 2,500 dollars; 2nd place: 1,000 dollars; 3rd place: 500 dollars; 4th place: 300 dollars and in 5th place: 200 dollars.

The engineer Rafael Tejada Martínez, president of the organizing committee of the Doglocy Classic, highlighted that the event maintains its open and free character for participants, while offering competitive prizes that stimulate the level of the race. “This prize represents an important incentive for athletes and a demonstration of the commitment to the development of Dominican and regional cycling,” he expressed. Entry for the public will have a cost of 300 pesos, with access to a high-performance day and sporting excitement on one of the most emblematic tracks in the country. A large attendance of cycling fans and enthusiasts is expected. The definitive list of participants will be published on June 15th. The previous edition was won by the Mocano master William Guzmán (Pegacol–V2C), and this year the competition promises to be even more intense.
