Dominican Republic National Football Team continues its training in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR. The Dominican Republic National Football Team (Sedofútbol) continues working in the Malaysian capital during the current FIFA Window, as part of the agreement established between the Dominican Football Federation (FDF) and the organizers of the friendly match held last Friday against Uruguay. The national team will maintain its planning in Asian territory until next Monday, October 13. During this stage, the technical team led by Marcelo Neveleff seeks to strengthen the group’s cohesion and consolidate the project whose historical goal is to qualify for a FIFA World Cup for the first time in 2030.

“This tour represents an invaluable opportunity to continue growing as a team and continue developing our game idea with the most experienced footballers and the young people who are integrating into the process,” highlighted Neveleff.

Defender Júnior Firpo had to leave the concentration due to a family situation, while Joao Urbáez, Noah Dollenmayer and Noam Bauman returned to their respective clubs, as agreed in case a second friendly match was not held. Following the match against the celeste team, Sedofútbol resumed its morning training sessions this Sunday, after a Saturday rest. This session marked the fifth field practice during the tour —four training sessions and one match— out of the six scheduled by the coaching staff, complemented by gym work, video analysis, and tactical talks. The concentration in Asia is also part of the preparation for the next FIFA Window in November, in which the Dominican Republic will play two matches corresponding to the Concacaf Friendly Series 2025-2026.

• November 18: Dominican Republic vs. Martinique
  Both matches will be held at the Cibao FC Stadium in Santiago de los Caballeros.
