Alcaraz will debut at the US Open against Opelka and could face Djokovic in the semifinals

New York (USA) (EFE).- Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, champion of the US Open in 2022, will debut in New York this year against American Reilly Opelka, number 66 in the world, and shares a side of the draw with Serbian Novak Djokovic, with whom he could meet in the semifinals. Alcaraz, number 3 in the world ranking, could also face Russian Daniil Medvedev, champion of this tournament in 2021, in the fourth round, and with Ben Shelton (n.6) in a hypothetical quarter-final, according to the draw held this Thursday in New York.
