Five Mauritanians remain missing after the collision of two fishing boats in Mauritania, a Mauritanian coast guard official told EFE.
The accident occurred on Friday at 6:28 p.m. local time (Same GMT) after the collision of the Right Whale and Tafra-3 ships off the coast of Nouadhibou, explained the official who added that the second ship sank.
The same source added that the crew of the crashed trawler was made up of 26 people, 21 of whom were rescued, while the other five remain missing.
Among the survivors are five Spaniards, a Ghanaian, a Senegalese and 14 Mauritanians, and there are seven injured, one of them seriously, the same source indicated.
He also underlined that the search continues and is being coordinated by the coast guard rescue vessel PHM Arguin, with the support of six other vessels.
