Santo Domingo.- The director of the General Directorate of Fine Arts, Marianela Sallent, expressed her satisfaction this Tuesday with the development of the twenty-first edition of the International Contemporary Dance Festival and highlighted during the inauguration that this gathering transcends artistic performances by incorporating spaces for training and exchange with participants from different countries.
“The General Directorate of Fine Arts unconditionally supports EDANCO, uh because we believe it is a very important part uh for the development of Dominican dance. And in the beginning, uh a long time ago, when I used to dance a few… A few years ago, there was training in classical dance and of course folk dance always existed,” highlighted Marianela Sallent.

The festival will bring together national and international companies and artists in a program that includes contemporary dance performances, workshops, and other educational activities aimed at dancers, students, and performing arts professionals.
The most important dance event in the Caribbean and Central America, which will take place from Tuesday, September 22 to Sunday, October 4 at the Manuel Rueda Hall.
