San Cristóbal. – The Dominican Institute for Prevention and Protection of Occupational Hazards (
IDOPPRIL) and the Chamber of Commerce and Production of San Cristóbal signing an agreement to develop joint actions aimed at promoting occupational safety in the companies of this province.
Within the framework of the agreement, IDOPPRIL committed to providing free training, workshops, and occupational risk analyses to the companies affiliated with the Chamber. Likewise, to offer technical assistance and support in the implementation of preventive measures.
For its part, the Chamber of Commerce will support the development of preventive policies. Also, it will provide information on registered companies and promote the participation of the private sector in the training and awareness activities promoted by IDOPPRIL.
The executive director of IDOPPRIL, Dr. Agustín Burgos, said that, with this pact, the Chamber of Commerce of San Cristóbal joins the institutions that support the development of the province. “
Burgos emphasized that “the idea is to bring prevention to every corner of the country, create the habit of occupational safety in companies and offer the services we have available, both for employers and collaborators.”
“We are allies of employers and workers, promoting prevention as a fundamental tool for sustainable development,” he said.
On his part, the president of the Chamber of Commerce and Production of San Cristóbal, Víctor Ramón Montás Pimentel, highlighted the importance of this alliance. It will contribute to the well-being of workers and the strengthening of labor safety.
“The signing of this agreement guarantees the health and safety of the most important asset of any company, which are the employees; through IDOPPRIL we guarantee the safety and prevention of risks for our collaborators,” explained Montás.
