Las Lagunas, Azua. Brigades began work on installing new lamps in the municipal district of Las Lagunas, in an intervention aimed at improving public lighting service and strengthening security in different communities of the demarcation.
The installation of the luminaires began at several points in the district as part of a day aimed at reducing areas with lighting deficiencies, a situation that for years has been a cause for concern for residents and drivers who travel along the roads in the area.
According to municipal authorities, the work will cover both the urban area and various rural communities, including Las Cañitas, Gajo de Monte, El Limón, El Chocho, and Botoncillo, where the installation of new public lighting units is also planned.

The project was managed by Mayor Wilkin Abreu before the corresponding institutions, with the purpose of responding to one of the main demands of the inhabitants of the municipal district.
Residents consulted positively valued the start of the work, considering that better lighting will contribute to increasing public safety, facilitating nighttime travel, and improving the quality of life in the various sectors that will benefit.

The municipal authorities expressed their gratitude for the support provided by the central government and the Southern Electricity Distribution Company (Edesur), entities that made the execution of the initiative possible.
