Miss Universe and Giannina Azar unite in a parade for autism in the Dominican Republic

Santo Domingo. — During her official visit to the Dominican Republic, Miss Universe 2025, Fátima Bosch, starred in an emotional parade in favor of autism awareness, alongside the renowned Dominican designer Giannina Azar, in an event that fused fashion, inclusion, and social commitment. The parade took place at the luxurious Kimpton Las Mercedes hotel, a setting that welcomed personalities from the fashion world, institutional representatives, social leaders, and media. The general production was in charge of the Dominican Fashion Guru, Sócrates McKinney, who imprinted his mark of elegance and artistic vision on an evening full of meaning. During the event, national and international models, along with Fátima Bosch, wore exclusive creations by Giannina Azar, an internationally renowned designer, whose pieces stood out for their sophistication and message of social sensitivity. “The Crown Shines for Autism,” was the name given to the catwalk that served as a platform to make autism visible, reinforcing the importance of inclusion, empathy, and respect for diversity. This parade is part of the official agenda that Miss Universe develops in the country and is part of the celebration of the 70th anniversary of Miss Dominican Republic Universe, a commemoration that highlights seven decades of presence, legacy and participation of the Dominican Republic in the Miss Universe pageant.

In a thank-you message, Miss Universe Fátima Bosch expressed her gratitude to the Dominican people for the warm welcome and valued the opportunity to use fashion as a vehicle for social change. “The Dominican Republic has welcomed me with open arms and with its heart. This parade is a reminder that beauty also has purpose,” she stated.

For her part, Giannina Azar thanked the trust and highlighted the honor of participating in an event with a cause. “Fashion can transform realities when it is put at the service of messages that matter. Thanks to Miss Universe and the Miss Dominican Republic organization for promoting initiatives that leave a mark”, she pointed out.

Magali Febles, director of Miss Dominican Republic Universe, expressed her gratitude to everyone involved in the parade, highlighting the organization’s commitment to a cause as sensitive as autism. “I am deeply grateful to each ally, producer, and collaborator who made this event possible, as well as to the Dominican people for supporting initiatives that elevate fashion as a platform for social awareness, within the framework of the celebration of our 70 years of history in Miss Universe”, she stated. The parade reaffirms the Miss Universe platform’s commitment to social causes and consolidates the Dominican Republic as a regional benchmark where fashion, social awareness, and excellence meet. The event was sponsored by the Kimpton Las Mercedes Santo Domingo hotel. In addition to the collaboration of J.P.
