According to his mother and neighbors, he was considered “one of the best in the neighborhood” and participated in his last tournament at the beginning of December. Coaches from different teams even came to watch him play, and he was recognized on several occasions as Most Valuable Player (MVP) in local tournaments. The mother also rejected the statements of the spokesperson for the National Police, Diego Pesqueira, who linked the crime to “old personal grudges between groups in the area, including one called ‘Los Macaos’”. Delgado described these statements as unfounded and assured that the authorities have not acted with due diligence.Elvin Sadel left his daughter Britney, who was barely a year old, orphaned, and she is still waiting for her father to return home.
