National Police activates search for “Alex Veje,” man linked to the death of a woman in Villa Mella

Santo Domingo. – The National Police is activating the search for Alexander Lasen Matías, alias “Alex Veje”, 33 years old, identified as a presumed accomplice in the death of a woman in an incident recorded in the Barrio Nuevo sector, Villa Mella, on the morning of Sunday, December 28, 2025. The victim is Carolina Sepúlveda Almengot, 46 years old, who was found around 4:55 in the morning inside a Toyota vehicle, model Passo, white color, license plate A552053. The victim presented a gunshot wound with entry in the left scapular region and no exit.

The law enforcement institution urges “Alex Veje” to surrender through the channels it deems appropriate to answer for the charges against him.
