National Police arrests man involved in assault and recovers stolen belongings in La Vega

Members of the National Police, attached to the Regional Sub-Directorate of Investigation (DICRIM) in La Vega, arrested Arismendy Suárez Guerrero, 30 years old, for his alleged involvement in an assault that occurred in the early hours of the morning in this city. According to the complaint filed by Elvis Ramón Batista Vásquez, two individuals on a motorcycle stole his cell phone and a wallet containing cash and other belongings. Through surveillance and investigation, the agents managed to locate and arrest one of the alleged accomplices, seizing an iPhone cell phone and several belongings reported as stolen.

Authorities reported that another of those involved, identified as Samuel Abreu Sueriel, alias “El Flaco,” fled, so the corresponding investigations are being carried out for his capture. The detainee will be brought before the authorities for the corresponding legal purposes.
