Barahona.– The National Police reported that, as a result of the preventive and crime-fighting operations deployed permanently in this province, two arrest warrants for robbery were executed, narcotic substances were seized, and a clandestine factory of adulterated alcoholic beverages was dismantled, in actions aimed at strengthening citizen security.
In compliance with arrest warrants Nos. 2026-AJ0044979 and 2026-AJ0059822, police officers apprehended Edwin Manuel Jiménez Ferreras, alias “La Ñanga”, 18, and Ángel Junior Pérez Ferreras, alias “Yunito”, 23, identified as the alleged perpetrators of a robbery at a residence in the Los Solares de Milton sector, in this municipality.
During another intervention, carried out on Capitólio Street in this city, officers seized 232 grams of various narcotic substances that were abandoned on the pavement by several individuals who fled upon noticing the police presence.

Likewise, in the Los Botaos sector of the Cabral municipality, members of the institution dismantled a clandestine factory dedicated to the production of adulterated alcoholic beverages, popularly known as “cleren” or “triculí”. Several tanks containing the liquid in the fermentation process were seized at the site.

The National Police reported that they are maintaining active search efforts to identify and capture those allegedly responsible for operating the clandestine factory, in order to bring them before the Public Prosecutor’s Office and continue with the corresponding investigations.
