National Police initiates investigation into the discovery of a lifeless body in La Vega

The National Police reported that it initiated an exhaustive investigation in relation to an event that occurred in the Esmeralda residential complex, Los Pomos sector, of the city of La Vega, where the citizen José Martín Rojas Contreras, Dominican, 50 years old, lost his life. The deceased resided on Main Street of La Sidra, La Cabuya sector, and, according to the medical diagnosis, died due to hypovolemic shock caused by multiple stab wounds. According to preliminary investigations, the deceased was working as a motorcyclist at a market stop in this city.

At the scene, the investigative bodies of the National Police carried out the corresponding removal, while members of the Scientific Police collected evidence of interest for the investigative process. The National Police continues to deepen investigations and develop all necessary procedures to identify and find the person responsible for the act, reaffirming its commitment to the maintenance of order and citizen security.
