Regional 03 Azua holds induction meeting to strengthen the management of decentralized boards

Santo Domingo. – With the aim of strengthening the educational decentralization strategy, the Regional Education Directorate 03, Azua, in coordination with the Decentralization and Territorial Coordination Directorate, held an Induction Meeting for presidents of educational center boards, accountants and technicians from the educational districts. The meeting focused on the importance, functioning, and proper use of the financial resources transferred to the Decentralized Boards. The day was carried out through technical working tables, aimed at providing practical and conceptual tools that contribute to an efficient, transparent, and responsible management of resources, in accordance with current regulations.
This induction process was carried out with the purpose of contributing to the achievement of the target objective: “Institutionalized and functioning boards to improve the educational quality and the learning of students”.

During the meeting, issues related to educational decentralization mechanisms, financial procedures, accountability, and the role of boards in strengthening school management were addressed. The day was led by the national team, made up of Juan Carlos Peña, Grismilda Cruz, Leidy Encarnación and María Estrella, and was coordinated by Alexis Castillo, regional head of Decentralization.
