Santo Domingo.- The businessman and CEO of Alofoke Media Group, Santiago Matías, arrived this Thursday at the residence of the United States ambassador to the Dominican Republic, where the commemorative gala for the 250th anniversary of the independence of the United States was held, one of the most relevant diplomatic events of the year.

Matías arrived accompanied by his wife, Charylie Alvarado, his son Prince Matías, and Alofoke Media executive Melvin de León, as part of the special guests at the official reception hosted by Ambassador Leah Francis Campos.

The businessman’s presence responds to the impact he has had as one of the most influential figures in the media and digital platform industry in the Dominican Republic and the region, standing out as a benchmark for the digital industry in Latin America.

The presence of businessman Santiago Matías at the event also responds to the close ties and relationship he maintains with the United States Ambassador to the country, Leah Francis Campos, whom he had the opportunity to interview for the first time after her appointment as head of the diplomatic mission. This approach has been interpreted as a sign of the dialogue that the embassy has maintained with different communication sectors, and especially with Matías as a benchmark for digital platforms in the Dominican Republic.

The commemorative gala was part of the activities for the 250th anniversary of American independence, held under the theme “Freedom 250,” and served as a stage to highlight the shared values between the United States and the Dominican Republic, as well as the cooperation between both nations.
