Gunshots were heard on Monday night around the Miraflores Palace, the headquarters of the Venezuelan Executive, according to witnesses who spoke to EFE.
In social media, videos circulated immediately in which the shots are heard, while witnesses assured EFE that the passage of numerous motorcyclists was heard in the surroundings.
The incident takes place hours after Chavista Delcy Rodríguez was sworn in as acting president of the country following the capture, last Saturday, of President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, during a US military operation in Caracas and three neighboring states.
