SANTO DOMINGO.- Dominican artist Yailin La Más Viral reported this Wednesday that the concert at the Puerto Plata Amphitheater for Mother’s Day will not take place because the venue’s administration does not agree with the type of music and lyrics she performs.

“Just as I sing explicit music, I also sing clean, romantic music with positive messages. An artist should not be judged only by one song or by one style. Music has many forms of expression and they all deserve respect,” said the singer.

Addressing those who criticize her work, Yailin reminded that “no one can extinguish a talent just because it doesn’t fit their way of thinking“. In that sense, he maintained that “music doesn’t hurt, the bad intention with which some want to point out and destroy does“.

The popular interpreter took the opportunity to call on the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, asking him to intercede so that freedom of artistic expression is respected and the right of Dominican artists to perform in public spaces is not limited due to their musical style. The artist reaffirmed her commitment to her audience, assuring that “I will continue to be authentic, real and true to who I am“. “Thank you to my audience for always supporting me, because you are the real reason why I keep growing more and more every day“, she pointed out.

“This doesn’t stop me… Bigger, stronger, and more beautiful things are coming,” Yailin concluded.
