Santo Domingo.– President Luis Abinader pointed out this Monday that the inauguration this Wednesday of the Pintura overpass “is not only a very important work,” but also part of a plan aimed at decongesting the entrances to the city of Santo Domingo.
“The Painting point was the critical point that was in the capital city”, stated the Head of State, in his meeting with the media on Mondays from the National Palace.
Abinader indicated that this new work will be important for the entire south and also for San Cristóbal, because a large part of the people from San Cristóbal work in Santo Domingo.
“It’s also good to know that many people coming from the north take the bypass to access the (highway) 6 de Noviembre, which leads to the south of Santo Domingo. This has an impact on the southern entrance and San Cristóbal, but also on the northern entrance,” he said.
In addition, the president added that the Ecological Avenue will be available on November 15, which will mean “another entrance from the east to Santo Domingo”.
Abinader pointed out that these works are part of a decongestion plan and added that the works on the Avenida de la República de Colombia, which will have an impact on improving the entrances to Santo Domingo Norte and “to enter from Monte Plata and from the north”, are also part of said project.
“This decongestion plan enters now, but continues to improve the transit of our city,” he indicated.
