ADA President Highlights Historic Growth of Dominican Poultry Farming

Santiago .- The president of the Dominican Poultry Association (ADA), Pavel Concepción, stated that the production of chicken and eggs in the Dominican Republic is going through a historic moment, with increases that consolidate the country as a regional leader in the Caribbean and Central America. During the opening of the technical conference “Let’s Protect Our Poultry Farming”, held this Thursday in Santiago, Concepción highlighted that in the last five years egg producers have doubled their production. He specified that only in the 2024-2025 period, the growth was 15%, reaching nearly 390 million eggs monthly at the end of that year.

“It’s an amazing achievement for any sector, and even more so for poultry,” he emphasized.

In the broiler chicken line, the sector also shows a positive trend, with an increase of nearly 4%.

“Last year, production was around 20 million 500 thousand chickens per month; today we are between 21 and 22 million 500 thousand units, which confirms the responsiveness of our producers,” he said.

The president of the ADA assured that this productive dynamism has allowed Dominican poultry farming to conquer international markets in the Caribbean and establish itself as a regional benchmark in egg exports, while strengthening food security and price stability in the country.

“These numbers speak of the effort and vision of our producers, who have become true champions of poultry farming. The challenge now is to maintain and expand this growth, ensuring sustainability and competitiveness for the future”, concluded Concepción.

Technical Conference Let’s Protect Poultry Farming

Concepción explained that the technical conference seeks to strengthen the competitiveness and health sustainability of the poultry sector, reaffirming the Dominican Republic’s leadership in the production of animal protein.

“Este será un espacio de encuentro entre productores, técnicos y aliados de la industria que nos permitirá proyectar la visión de la avicultura en los próximos cinco años”,

expresó el presidente de la ADA.

The technical conference “Let’s Protect Poultry Farming” features two panels of national and international specialists who will address the main health challenges facing the sector.
