Santo Domingo.– The United States Ambassador to the Dominican Republic, Leah Campos, participated this Thursday in the Corpus Christi celebration organized by the Archdiocese of Santo Domingo, a religious activity that brought together hundreds of faithful from different parts of the country in the gardens of the Colegio Quisqueya.
The diplomat joined the crowd of believers who attended the solemn Eucharist presided over by the coadjutor archbishop of Santo Domingo, Monsignor Carlos Tomás Morel Diplán, along with representatives from more than 200 parishes of the National District and the episcopal vicariates of Santo Domingo West, Santo Domingo North, and Bayaguana-Monte Plata.
Campos’ presence caught the attention of the attendees, who participated in one of the most important festivities of the Catholic Church, dedicated to exalting the presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist.

Throughout the day, marked by prayer, Eucharistic adoration, and liturgical chants, hundreds of people reaffirmed their faith in an atmosphere of unity and spiritual reflection.

The faithful, families, young people, and seniors arrived from different provinces of the country to be part of the celebration, which every year gathers thousands of Catholics in a public expression of devotion and commitment to Christian values.
The participation of the U.S. ambassador took place within the framework of a ceremony that highlighted the importance of dialogue, peaceful coexistence, and the strengthening of ties between the communities that make up Dominican society.
