Erdwin Robert Olivares Luciano is appointed director of the COE

Santo Domingo.— President Luis Abinader appointed Erdwin Robert Olivares Luciano as the new director of the Emergency Operations Center (COE), through Decree no. 551-26.

The appointment places Olivares Luciano at the head of the agency responsible for coordinating preparedness, prevention, response, and recovery actions in the face of emergency and disaster situations in the Dominican Republic.

As director of the COE, you will be responsible for coordinating the institutions that make up the national emergency system, especially in the face of atmospheric phenomena, floods, landslides, earthquakes, fires, and other situations that may pose risks to the population.

The COE plays a fundamental role in coordinating relief and security institutions during emergency situations, as well as in monitoring events that may affect the national territory.

The appointment of Olivares Luciano through Decree 551-26 is part of the movements ordered by the Executive Branch within the public administration.
