Santo Domingo.– Reverend Mario de la Cruz Campusano, episcopal vicar of the Family and Life Pastoral, expressed his gratitude to the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, and to the legislators for the approval of the new Penal Code.
The clergyman considered that this regulation constitutes a significant step for Dominican society in terms of the administration of justice.

He urged the population to assume the commitment of ensuring its rigorous compliance.
He highlighted that the legislation incorporates new criminal offenses in line with the demands of current times, which, in his view, strengthens the country’s legal framework.
