Santo Domingo.- Within the framework of the solemnity of Corpus Christi, the Italian religious figure Danielle Mazzoleni highlighted the deep devotion of the Dominican people toward the Eucharist and affirmed that this celebration represents a message of hope, love, and God’s closeness to humanity.
During an interview granted to De Último Minuto, Fray Danielle expressed his admiration for the faith he observes in the Dominican faithful, especially for the love they manifest towards Jesus present in the Eucharist.
As he explained, the main message of Corpus Christi is that “Christ continues to accompany his people through his constant presence and not through power or riches”.
“The Lord saves us with His presence. He is with us always, He is in the Tabernacle,” the religious pointed out, highlighting that the procession of the Blessed Sacrament that takes place during this festivity symbolizes that God walks alongside His people and never abandons their families.
The friar also defined Corpus Christi as a “feast of hope,” since, according to Catholic doctrine, the Eucharist anticipates the eternal glory promised to believers.

He explained that, although the fullness of that encounter with God will be reached in eternal life, His presence is already found among the faithful through the sacrament.
The Italian wrote of the solemnity as a celebration of Christ’s eternal love and the “bread of life,” recalling that faith in eternal life gives meaning to people’s actions, sacrifices, and sufferings. In that sense, he affirmed that the Eucharist allows one to find a transcendent purpose in every human experience.
