The National Police is investigating an attempted robbery that occurred at a branch of the Savings and Credit Bank ADOPEM, located in the city of La Vega. According to the preliminary report, it was determined that the event corresponds to an attempted robbery, according to the way the antisocial managed to access the establishment and the conditions in which the place was found during the verification carried out by the investigators.

According to the information provided by the administrative staff of the banking entity, there was no theft of money or other valuables. Likewise, it was stated that said establishment does not have security personnel. As part of the investigative process, after analyzing the images captured by the surveillance cameras, the well-known antisocial José Manuel Cosme Vargas (a) “Maca Lengua” was identified as the alleged perpetrator of the act. The National Police maintains active intelligence and location efforts to find him and deepen the investigations.
