Santo Domingo.– The National Health Service (SNS) reported that it is working on the bidding and renovation of centers intended for the care of people in mental health crises, including the Padre Billini Hospital and the former 28 hospital.
The director of the SNS, Julio Landrón, explained that since his arrival at the institution eight months ago, mental health has been established as one of the priorities of his administration.
“We are currently bidding for what is a total renovation of the old Padre Billini and the psychosocial rehabilitation hospital that is at the 28, the old 28 as they used to call it, where some seven complete modules with mini-studios will be built,” Landrón maintained during a press conference held this Thursday at a hotel in Santo Domingo.
The official indicated that these interventions are part of the actions aimed at improving the conditions of the centers that offer mental health care and rehabilitation services.
