Traffic interchange inaugurated at the Sabaneta de Yásica intersection to contribute to road safety

Sabaneta de Yásica.- The Government inaugurated the traffic interchange at the Sabaneta de Yásica Intersection, a project that improves road safety and organizes vehicular flow toward the municipalities of Moca, Gaspar Hernández, and the province of Puerto Plata.

The event was led by the Administrative Minister of the Presidency, Andrés Bautista, representing President Luis Abinader, together with the provincial governor, Claritza Rochtte and the mayor of the Sabaneta de Yásica municipal district, Roely Thomas, who highlighted the impact of the infrastructure for the thousands of drivers who travel daily through this intersection.

During the activity, Minister Andrés Bautista highlighted that this work responds to President Luis Abinader’s commitment to continue executing projects that strengthen the country’s road infrastructure, contributing to the reduction of traffic accidents.

“This is a work with a value much greater than its investment due to the impact it will have on the safety of those who travel through this important intersection and due to the organization of traffic in this entire area, which will prevent citizens from suffering deadly collisions,” expressed Bautista.

For his part, Mayor Roely Thomas valued the delivery of the traffic interchange and stated that the work constitutes a response to a need of many years for the community.

During the event, the authorities recognized the joint effort that made the execution of the project possible, with an investment of 15 million pesos. In that sense, they thanked the local authorities, as well as the work of the engineers responsible for the construction, Frendy Domínguez and Crisleidy Marte, who were in charge of the execution of the work.

Court renovation

Likewise, on behalf of the Ministry, the mayor of San Víctor, Pedro Estrella, announced the start of reconstruction and roofing work for the sports court in the Ceiba de Madera community.

The project, which has an allocated investment of RD$9,028,842.78, materializes the commitment of President Luis Abinader’s government to boosting sports infrastructure and the integral development of youth in the region.

The comprehensive intervention includes the renovation and provision of optimal facilities for community use, covering the construction of a new floor and roof, the installation of backboards and a modern lighting system, the reconstruction and adaptation of restrooms and the cafeteria area, the erection of perimeter fences for greater security, as well as the general renovation of the bleachers.
