URBE announces tender for the recovery of the eastern margin of the Ozama River

Santo Domingo Este. – The Unit for the Redevelopment of Neighborhoods and Environments (URBE), of the Ministry of the Presidency, launched the bidding process for the first stage of the Ozama River Eastern Margin Recovery Project, in the Las Lilas neighborhood, Santo Domingo Este. According to the official statement, this phase includes the protection of the riverbank and soil stabilization, laying the groundwork for a comprehensive transformation that will turn the riverbank into a safe, sustainable, and dignified space for the community. The intervention includes urban planning works, recreational and sports infrastructure, landscaping, public lighting, and adaptation of existing infrastructure, in line with URBE’s mission to improve human settlements in vulnerable areas.

The project seeks to contribute to the Ozama’s sanitation and improve the quality of life of the inhabitants, reaffirming the Government’s commitment to the physical, urban, and environmental recovery of the Ozama and Isabela riverbanks. Those interested in participating can obtain the terms and conditions from the URBE website (www.urbe.gob.do) or from the Portal of the General Directorate of Purchases and Contracting (DGCP) (www.comprasdominicana.gov.do). Proposals will be received on October 28, from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m., in physical format at the URBE Purchasing and Contracting Department or digitally through the Electronic Public Contracting System (SECP).
