Santo Domingo.- Dominican authorities received this Tuesday a woman who was wanted for her alleged involvement in a homicide recorded several years ago in the municipality of Villa Altagracia, San Cristóbal province.
The detainee, identified as Raysa Corporán Guzmán, 34 years old, was handed over to local authorities after being deported from the United States, where she had remained after leaving Dominican territory.
Their arrival took place through the Las Américas International Airport (AILA), under the coordination of international cooperation agencies and agents in charge of executing the repatriation processes.
According to investigations, Corporán Guzmán was wanted by the Dominican justice system in connection with a violent incident that occurred in January 2022 in the El Puerto sector of Villa Altagracia, where a woman lost her life as a result of multiple gunshot wounds.

The authorities indicated that the accused was the subject of an international search through police cooperation mechanisms, which allowed for her location and subsequent arrest outside the country.

After being received by the competent authorities, the woman will be placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor’s Office to continue with the corresponding judicial process and answer for the accusations against her.
The case is part of the coordination efforts between national and international agencies to locate and capture individuals wanted by the Dominican justice system who are outside the national territory.
