Angelita Curiel, “La Mulatona” will be waked and buried this Sunday

Santo Domingo. – The family of the Dominican vedette and actress Angelita Curiel, popularly known as “La Mulatona,” reported that her remains will be displayed this Sunday, August 24, starting at 12:00 noon, at the Inavi Funeral Home (Savica, Gazcue). On the same day, at 3:00 in the afternoon, the burial will take place at the Cristo Redentor Cemetery, where she will receive Christian burial. Angelita Curiel passed away early this Sunday, August 23, leaving great sadness in the Dominican entertainment industry for her charisma, talent and artistic career. The family thanked the expressions of solidarity and support received in this moment of pain.

Curiel had been admitted days ago to the Doctor Darío Contreras Hospital after suffering a fall in her residence, which caused a femur fracture and the need for surgical intervention. Her delicate state of health prompted her family to urgently request type A negative blood donors, a call that generated displays of solidarity from various sectors of society. Even the First Lady of the Republic, Raquel Arbaje, publicly expressed her support for the artist, highlighting her admiration for Curiel’s career and reiterating that she had her backing in those difficult moments.
