Santo Domingo.– The Dominican comedy “Carlota la más Barrial” conquered the audience in its first weekend of exhibition, achieving massive support in the country’s movie theaters and positioning itself as one of the most successful premieres of the year. Since its release on August 28th, the film not only attracted thousands of viewers, but also generated a conversation phenomenon around its fresh and community-based proposal, which combines popular humor with a message of identity and neighborhood resistance.
