Rod Stewart said goodbye to the Dominican stages with an emotional concert in Santo Domingo as part of his final tour “One Last Time”.
Santo Domingo, RD – On the night of Tuesday, October 14th, the Softball Stadium of the Olympic Center of Santo Domingo vibrated to the rhythm of the iconic British singer Rod Stewart, who offered his last concert in the country as part of his farewell tour “One Last Time”.
The legendary performer took the stage at 9:30 p.m. to the rhythm of “Infatuation”, a hit released in 1984 and considered one of the most important of his discography, starting an evening full of memories, hits and the euphoria of the audience.
Dressed in an animal print suit and his distinctive blonde mane, Stewart looked impeccable as always, accompanied by his “Ladies”, as he usually calls his backing singers Holly Brewer, Joanne Bacon and Becca Kotte, and the other female instrumentalists of the group, who, completing six, played instruments such as the violin, harp and guitar.
The presentation of “the rock legend” took place between choreographies, songs, musical numbers and special effects (lights and visuals), which highlighted the presence on stage of the legendary 80-year-old artist.
During his majestic presentation, some 19 hits were performed, including “Tonight I’m Yours”, “Forever Young”, “Baby Jane”, “Maggie May”, “Proud Mary”, “Have I Told You Lately”, “You Are in My Heart”, “I Don’t Want to Talk About It”, “The First Cut Is the Deepest”, “Tonight’s the Night”.
To this list was added the transcendental “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy?”, one of the greatest hits of Rod Stewart’s musical discography, which was chanted by the thousands of fans who were present, making this one of the most special moments of the night, where the legendary Stewart’s unique style, his blond hair and his distinctive raspy voice stood out.
However, despite the lively performance, other emblematic songs from their repertoire were not sung, including “Love Train”, this being one of the most acclaimed by the public.
Throughout his presentation, the artist had three costume changes: an animal print suit, a matching black pants and shirt set, and a striking set in vibrant royal blue.

In this show, figures from different areas of Dominican society were present, including the mayor of the National District, Carolina Mejía, and her husband, and even the legendary merengue singer Fernando Villalona and his wife Fátima.
