In this regard, he emphasized that political prisoners “know that releases are taking place,” a process announced on January 8 by the President of Parliament, Jorge Rodríguez, which generated expectations among family members, who have since spent the night outside several prisons awaiting the releases. “Knowing that others regain their freedom while they continue in uncertainty generates a deep anxiety, a constant distress, an anguish that adds to the physical, mental and spiritual wear and tear,” indicated Mariana González.
