They are starting to demolish part of the White House to build Trump’s ballroom
Washington.- Works to build the ballroom commissioned by the President of the United States, Donald Trump, at the White House began this Monday with the demolition of a part of the presidential residence, despite the fact that the president said that the new enclosure would be an annex and that the original structure of the building would not be changed.
Some correspondents made public the first images of the demolition machines working on the east wing of the US Executive headquarters.
According to the Trump Administration a few weeks ago – in a statement – the new facility was going to be “substantially separated” from the main building, however, as several journalists present today could see, the original structure of the White House will be affected.
A White House official confirmed to The Washington Post, on condition of anonymity, that the demolitions seen this Monday are to build the hall and pointed out that it will replace the east wing.
