A 39-year-old woman was tied up and robbed of nearly $343,000 worth of valuables during a violent home invasion in the Bronx, according to the New York Police Department (NYPD).
Investigators said three suspects forced their way into a home near West 168th Street and Ogden Avenue in the Highbridge neighborhood at around 10:15 p.m. Thursday. The intruders were reportedly armed with knives and a handgun.
Police said the suspects assaulted the victim, stripped off her clothing, blindfolded her and bound her hands and feet with duct tape before stealing jewelry, cash, perfumes and a cellphone valued at approximately $343,000.
The suspects fled the scene on foot and remain at large. Detectives are reviewing surveillance footage and seeking information that could help identify those responsible.
The victim suffered multiple injuries and was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln, where she was reported to be in stable condition.
