Aruba surprises DR and a three-way tie for first place occurs in U15 Baseball Premundial

Santo Domingo.- In the closing of day 5 of the U15 Premundial this Wednesday, Aruba surprised the Dominican Republic 6 to 4 and generated a three-way tie in first place between Cuba, Puerto Rico and the Dominicans.

Aruban starting pitcher Tai Keng Lee was the most outstanding with five innings pitched and only two earned runs.
The Dominican Republic opened the scoreboard against Aruba with two runs, the result of a selection play scoring Reymon Minaya, who slid headfirst into home plate for the first run and then Hiddekel Johnson scored the second because the ball entered the catcher’s chest protector and advanced due to the rules of the game. This U15 Pre-World Baseball Tournament is an official event of the World Baseball and Softball Confederation (WBSC), organized by the Dominican Baseball Federation (FEDOM).
The Caribbean Baseball Confederation (COCABE) is the body responsible for defining the area’s representative in the U15 Baseball World Cup to be held in 206 in Italy.
COCABE is part of the Pan American Baseball Confederation, which has already organized the first of three pre-world cups on the continent, and Venezuela is the team that first qualifies for the great world event.
