Gigantes del Cibao announce the return of Deyvison De los Santos

San Francisco de Macorís. – The Gigantes del Cibao announced the return of player Deyvison De los Santos, who will rejoin the team starting this Wednesday, when the Gigantes face the Leones del Escogido at the Julián Javier stadium, in the continuation of the Round Robin of the Dominican Professional Baseball League (LIDOM).

De los Santos had concluded his participation after the team qualified for the Round Robin, following instructions from his Major League organization, the Miami Marlins. However, the permission was extended thanks to the player’s own desire to return to the team, as well as the efforts made by the management of the Gigantes del Cibao, allowing his return in this stage of the championship.

He stood out in the regular season

The 22-year-old player had an outstanding performance during the regular season, establishing himself as the most productive hitter for the Gigante team. In 42 games, he recorded a batting average of .309, with an outstanding OBP of .475 and OPS of .840. During that stage, he led the team with 43 hits, including six doubles, a triple, and five home runs, as well as driving in 28 runs, leading the Giants in multiple offensive categories. His defensive performance at first base was also highly valued by the coaching staff. The return of De los Santos represents a reinforcement of great importance for the lineup of the Gigantes del Cibao and reflects the high level of commitment that this young talent maintains with the organization and with the Gigantes cause.
