Both players don’t need a “GPS” to move around the stadium, as they wore the yellow uniform of the 22-time national champions for several seasons. Rodríguez and Tavárez took to the field and performed their calisthenics routine, and then loosened their legs with short runs. Ronny took several ground balls at third base, while Tavárez was catching fly balls in the outfield.
At bat, Rodríguez on the right and Tavárez on the left, looked in excellent condition, connecting solid lines. “We come to make the team and help the Águilas win their 23rd crown”, assured the two players, who looked in good physical shape.
Ronny Rodríguez, nicknamed the “Felino”, began playing in the LIDOM with the Estrellas Orientales in the 2011-2012 season.
For his part, Aneury Tavárez also started in winter ball with the Estrellas in the 2013-2014 season and joined the Águilas in the 2020-2021 campaign, being part of the conquest of the number 22 crown. Subsequently, in 2024 and 2025, he played with the Toros. Tavárez has played 318 games in the LIDOM, with 883 at-bats, 238 hits and a .270 average. Among his hits are 9 home runs and 9 triples, with 84 RBIs, 113 runs scored and 49 stolen bases in 66 attempts.
The third day of training will be this Wednesday at 9:00 in the morning.
